"Don't Get Her Arrested"
Here are some of the photos from my three days in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, where I worked with Radio Dialogue. Despite many fears, the trip was incredible-- I have never been met with such kindness. The resulting print story will be in the Global Journalist Magazine, and (hopefully) the multimedia piece in the Mail And Guardian Online. Stay posted!
These are magnificent photos, Emily. Can't wait to hear the stories behind them! I'm so glad you're back safe and sound. Looking forward to reading your articles. I know they will be moving and powerful. All my love, Mom
I am a recently graduated journalism student living and working in Johannesburg, South Africa. This blog started when I first came to Jo'burg in July of 2009 and tells all of my initial experiences volunteering here. I now work with the Umuzi Photo Club teaching photography in developing communities, and working on my own freelance projects with the help of the McIntyre Fellowship from the University of Missouri. Thanks to all my family and friends for keeping up with my (sometimes) delayed posts.
